| Nantahala Village was established in 1948, when the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was new and a visit to
the western North Carolina Mountains was a true retreat from the world. Now over 60 years later, Nantahala Village Mountain Resort and Meeting Center continues to provide
a feeling of retreat from the world and an atmosphere that inspires meaningful dialogue. With our handsome new lodge, full service restaurant, meeting spaces, and a
selection of cabins, cottages and mountain homes on 200 acres, the Village caters to individuals and groups.
For free time in your agenda and without leaving the property, you can swim, horseback ride, mountain bike, hike, play tennis, spend a day at the spa, start a whitewater
rafting adventure, take a Jeep tour and more. There are unlimited opportunities for activities and adventure or rest and relaxation.
The Village also serves as an excellent base from which to explore Western North Carolina’s colorful heritage –
from its history and culture to its arts and crafts, antiques, local festivals and of course the Great Smoky Mountains, full of waterfalls, wildflowers and incredible beauty
to enjoy either from a distance in a rocker on our porch or up close and personal while on a hike. This far Western region of North Carolina is easily accessible from
many major metropolitan areas making it an ideal location for regional gatherings as well. The varieties of accommodations are situated in clusters to create groups
within your overall group. Our 1,000 square foot banquet room can hold up to 70 people for a banquet or theatre style meeting.
The 3,000 square foot Phoenix Deck can accommodate 100+ people. The Village Restaurant caters all meal functions at the Village either from our banquet menu, or perhaps you
would like to challenge us to be more creative. During the off seasons we can sell the entire property to large groups providing lodging and meals for up to 200 people.
